Halloweeny

Trick or Treat?

There are just some days I want to hide under a rock...preferrably a warm one with a fluffy blanket and a pillow.

Big girls don't cry.

Duh, Idiot.

Charlie and Andy are here. we just ate food that will probably make me want to throw up in a little bit.

When fall is coming, there is a time when all I want to do is sleep. I suppose it's hibernation mode. I just feel cold and unmotivated...today I felt like that.

Still I love the fall. The colors and the smells, the coolness that calls for cuddling and blankets. It's nice.

Forever a Kitchens.

I went to a wedding this weekend, and watched two of my closest friends get hitched. It was a beautiful day and the setting was beyond anything I could have thought up in my head. Lizzie looked beautiful and I couldn't stop telling her so. Of course, in her lizzie way she said, "stop saying that," and, of course, I didn't.
There was no way I could, she radiated beauty that somehow exceeded my comprehension.
Ben was so handsome. You couldn't ignore his excitement to receive Lizzy to be his wife...The wind blew to a perfect breeze, and the air had just the right amount of October coolness. The sun beat down and warmed our bear shoulders. Perfect.

--ok--

enough of my mush ball'in.

I had a great time this weekend. It was such a great time being at the place with good friends and laughing and joking. The wedding included so many of our families as well, so it was just a great time to celebrate as a huge family.

And now I'm home. Home in PHilly at a house with people I really miss...it's been a while since I've REALLY been around them and so it feels like it was a long time coming...It's good to be here.

We have a kitty named chommy....she's a sweet pea.

I think I will go join her in my bed and cuddle with her till we fall asleep... sounds like a plan.

p.s. there are these two photogs at the wedding, they should probably come to Philly....they're pretty awesome. (winkey face)

"S-ter, you're a weirdo."

She's in bed right now....not able to fall asleep.
She's little and cute.
She's also quite gorgeous.
She's getting married in less than a week.
She'll read this at work in the morning.
She's the one who started me writing in blogs.
She's honest and good.
She's hurt her back, like an old woman.
She's a lizard treat, in square form.

She'll call me a "goober" for writing this.

.....I AM a goober.

Hands Down.

Philly has been great. I don't know if it's just the change in scenery that has been refreshing, but I've really enjoyed my life here. There isn't much in terms of my daily doings, mostly I'm at the restaurant or with my boss' family...but for some reason I feel ok everyday.

In some ways, it just feels like life is progressing.

Lately, I have been thinking about life and the path I am taking in a much different way. More than not I didn't want to take responsibility for my life, and I almost expected for everything to 'fall into place' as long as I just waited for enough time to pass...

These days, I'm all about making decisions and trying to just move ahead in some way. I've realized that I'll never know enough and I'll never have 100% confidence in anything (teaching, moving back to MD...) but there is no "right" or "wrong" answer. there are just different options that you have to choose between and deal with the consequences of. No choice is "perfect".

Does this sound Morbid?

I guess it could, but I see it as hopeful and kinda exciting. Each door holds something different that can completely change the path of your life...and you have the choice...hmmm....I suppose it's kind of a scary thought too.

I'm not big on decision making, i have never been a decisive person, so still, though it can seem exciting, it simultaneously scares the crap out of me. I don't want options at the same time that I want all of them.

....I'm thinking out loud.

This weekend was really great:
Meredith came home and I got to see her a lot and we got some quality time together. She's awesome. Soon it will be her Birthday and so we celebrated with a get-together, with amazing food and people.

You know what was also amazing? breaking out into song as Daniel played dashboard on the guitar....you know the words, don't pretend you don't. :)

I'm so thankful for quality people.
